Lucky Log Cabin Quilt {Dots & Posies Fabric}

Thursday, January 14, 2021

I'm super excited to be a part of the fabric tour for Poppie Cotton's new line called Dots and Posies!  This fabric was such a happy fabric to start the New Year with!

I wanted to make a quilt that I could use the rest of the winter for a "napping" quilt!  Everyone needs a comfy napping quilt right?   With fabric that brings joy!

I could not decide what quilt pattern to use and then I saw this pattern by Emily Dennis called Lucky Log Cabin.  I knew I wanted to make a quilt that used all the different fabrics in the line and this was it!

This quilt was so fun to make.  The pattern calls for 2.5 inch strips of fabric and after I cut all my strips I just put them in random piles and started sewing.   I loved how no matter what I grabbed, everything just went together so perfectly.

I love all these beautiful fabrics so much and it has made the happiest quilt.  I cuddle under it with my morning coffee and my journal and its a perfect start to my day!

I did some simple straight line quilting along the diagonal rows and I really love how it looks!

I hope your New Year is off to a good start!
