If you read my blog post here, you know that I do not consider myself a crocheter (is that even a word?) and all I really know how to crochet are dishcloths! But let me tell you what, I can whip out the dishcloths and I love the pattern that I have perfected!
We drove across the United States to spend some time in New Mexico and Arizona with my family for Thanksgiving and one of the many (smile!) things I took to work on were dishcloths! Other than counting the initial chain stitch row I never have to count again and so it is very mindless to make them.
I use 100% cotton yarn so they can handle really hot water and they also don't get gross and stinky like other dishcloths that you buy in the store. I love the cotton yarn I use because it comes in so many fun colors. If you've been reading my blog for very long, you know that fun colors are very important to me!
A few years ago I asked my friend Angela, who is a master at crochet, if she would write the pattern for my dishcloth. Since I don't really even know how to crochet, I certainly don't know how to write the pattern! I'm happy to share that free pattern with you today. You can access the pattern by clicking HERE. Print, use and enjoy!
Be sure to visit my friend Angela's website here. She has written so many patterns for so many amazing things! She even offers online crochet classes.
AND as my Happy Holiday gift to one lucky reader, I'm giving away a set of two of my dishcloths. All you have to do is comment here on what two colors you would choose! For an extra entry see my Instagram post here and enter there also! This giveaway is open for one week (December 13th) the winner will receive the dishcloths before Christmas!
As always, thank you so much for continuing to follow along here and for your friendship through the years. Happy Holidays!
Teal & green! So cute.
ReplyDeleteWhite and yellow! All colors are very fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern. Cream and teal. Beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteSo fun to read your post today Dori! It definitely is time to get out the yarn for the winter. I'm not entering your giveaway because I can make my own; let someone else enjoy the fruits of your labor.
ReplyDeleteBlue and orange. I'm sorry if this is a duplicate comment but I'm not sure my first attempt published. I'm a knitter but would like to learn to crochet in 2020. I'm noticing more and more beautiful crochet patterns out there.
ReplyDeleteA neighbor gave me some needles and a how-to booklet about crocheting. I plan to use it this winter when it's too cold to do much outside. I would like to try this pattern, as I am a beginner. Love the teal and green colors!
ReplyDeleteBlue and orange! 😍 What a timely post. I am working on waffle weave dishcloths for Christmas presents. That's the extent of my crocheting as well. Dishcloths. Lol
ReplyDeleteWhite and green! I too don't know how to crochet. An elderly friend from church helped me to make a crochet blanket for our first born. That is, she helped me start - and told me to keep going around with that same stitch till I think it was big enough, and then she would help me finish it. Well it turned out wonderfully, but huge - way too big for a little one :)! Looking forward to maybe learning from Angela's tutorial. Thank you, Dori!
ReplyDeleteHard to choose. Love them all. I guess I would choose the aqua and cream
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you!! I love the green and orange!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! You are a gifted gal. Thank you for sharing your blessings and talent! I would pick blue and orange. 💗
ReplyDeleteWhite and green! Such a fun pattern- thanks for sharing, Dori.
ReplyDeleteButtery yellow and white :) Thank you!
ReplyDeletelovely project, thanks for sharing. I'd really like to learn to do crocheted edgings for pillows, but I've never attempted it...blue and purple would be my picks
ReplyDeleteLove your dish cloths. I can crochet a little. But mine never look as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs
