After my interview with Bosch Mixer I promised to post my very special recipe for German Apple Pancake.  Here is a step by step of the recipe, which is so easy but yet makes such a beautiful dish to serve for breakfast, brunch, or a late evening snack after a big holiday meal! You will love this so much!

Bosch Mixer Interview!

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Recently I was contacted by Bosch wanting to know if I would be interested in being interviewed as part of their Not Your Mother's Holiday Feast article about a recipe that I love but is not the usual traditional Holiday recipe.  Of course I said yes.  Most of you that follow me know that I've owned and used a Bosch Universal Mixer for most of my entire married life... almost 35 years!  So to be a part of their Holiday round-up was super exciting.

Boxwood Wreath {Product Review}

Monday, November 13, 2017

I've been on the look-out for a few years for a really beautiful boxwood wreath for my range hood.     Well I've looked at them in numerous stores and never was very happy with the quality or the price so I never made myself purchase one.  I've got to really love something like that in order to spend the money.  And I never felt like I just really loved them.

Skillet Cozy Tutorial

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Hello friends!

Last month when I shared my projects using the La Conner fabric designed by Jera Brandvig, one of the things I made generated a lot of requests on Instagram for a tutorial.  It was the little quilted cover for the cast iron skillet that I called the Skillet Cozy!  Who knew?!

So today I've got a simple little tutorial for you so that you can make a Skillet Cozy too!

La Conner Blog Tour

Monday, September 25, 2017

Dear Friends!  It was such an honor to be invited by Jera Brandvig to participate in the blog tour showcasing her most amazing new fabric collection, La Conner.   I think as a "Maker", there was no better compliment to me.  And to be a part of this line up of talented designers and sewists... it's beyond words!

Summer Quilting Camp {And Another Giveaway}!

Monday, September 18, 2017

I've been anxious to write and tell you all about my Summer Quilting Camp that I taught to five awesome girls!  I wrote a post about it here where I blog for MaryJanesFarm.  It was such an awesome experience for me and I wanted to write a blog post to tell you all about it.  But I submitted an article to MaryJanesFarm Magazine and was keeping my fingers crossed that it would make the magazine... so I was waiting on that!

A Pinnie A Day {And A Giveaway!}

Sunday, September 3, 2017

Hello Friends!  It's been cool and rainy here the last couple days and it's feeling a little bit like Fall.  For those of you that know me, you know that I love summer so when it starts feeling like Fall, I start getting a little sad! Our flowers sort of shut down in the cool rain, so we are hoping for some warm sunshine to get them blooming again and carry us through some big events that have reserved flowers from us this month. But... even though every day is super busy with flower farming and all other summertime fun things (like a week long trip to the beach!) I participated in a fun little challenge on Instagram called the Pinnie Parade.

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!
Congratulations to our IG winner Margie!

Just Add Lettuce!

Monday, August 28, 2017

I am such a lover of salads.  It is a rare day that I don't have some sort of green salad for either lunch or supper.

As I was putting together a Sunday Chef Salad it was so pretty I found myself snapping pictures from my phone.  Then, I took this platter of Chef Salad fixings to my daughter and surprised her family with it for lunch.  And she proceeded to take pictures.  (Are we bloggers or what?!)  So, I deemed it blog worthy!  Here is what I put together on my favorite huge enamelware platter:

How many of you are like me... your ironing board cover is gross and so you go to Walmart and then Target looking for just the right cute new cover?  And there is nothing there that is even remotely appealing?  (You know what is coming right?)  I thought, "What?  Why am I not making my own ironing board cover?  It can't be that hard!"  And I'm here to tell you it is EASY.  And I mean seriously easy.  So here is a tutorial for you so that you can make your own darling cover to match your sewing room.  Or your laundry room.  Or whatever room you iron in!  And believe me when I tell you that it makes ironing a lot more fun to have a cute board cover!

Lets get started!

Cranberry Orange Bread... Good Anytime!

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

I woke up this morning with a craving for Cranberry Orange bread!  It is one of my favorite quick breads to make; so easy and so delicious.  Obviously it is really wonderful around Thanksgiving and Christmas time; but seriously, I love it all year!  I buy cranberries when they are inexpensive during the holidays and throw them in my freezer and they always taste fresh!

The Cutest Little Pig!

Sunday, January 29, 2017

This darling little pig moved into my sewing room today!  I've been on the look-out for a sweet little vintage animal planter for a fun little pin cushion project and this darling little pig was just the one!  I though I'd share the project - it's easy and such a great gift for someone.  Or to brighten up your sewing room!
